The Dachstein Dialoge will take place from September 19 to 25, 2025, in Filzmoos and Ramsau am Dachstein — this time under the theme: “Who belongs to us?”
Look forward to inspiring lectures, creative performances, workshops, seminars, and a variety of activities.

In a time of increasing social polarization, threatened democracies, and mounting crises, this year’s festival raises the question of belonging and exclusion. With around 20 events over seven days, the festival creates spaces for exchange, fresh perspectives, and solidarity. The full festival program will be announced on June 4, 2025.
500th anniversary of the Peasants’ Wars
In commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Peasants' Wars, which marked the beginning of two centuries of religious violence, exclusion, and displacement in the region, the Dachstein Dialoge offer both historical and philosophical context, while continually raising questions of solidarity and tolerance through discussions, theater, lectures, concerts, school projects, and spaces for improvisation.
Through various formats—ranging from panel discussions and theatrical performances to lectures, concerts, and school projects—the themes of belonging and exclusion are repeatedly explored from new perspectives.
With diverse voices from literature, academia, politics, and society, the Dachstein Dialoge once again seek to spark a meaningful dialogue about how we can live together in harmony.

Dachstein Dialoge Scholarship
The Dachstein Dialoge Scholarship is intended to give future teachers and historians the opportunity to build on the knowledge and experiences gained during the DDSP and apply them in their future lives and professional practice. Participants are also encouraged to act as multipliers, sharing what they have learned with fellow educators in their home countries.
