The Dachstein Dialoge is an international festival for tolerance, held in Filzmoos and Ramsau am Dachstein.
From 19 to 25 September 2025, the festival returned for its second edition, focusing on the theme: “Who is one of us?”
Through lectures, discussions and cultural performances, the festival creates space for dialogue and ideas that promote respectful coexistence, strengthen democracy, and foster tolerance across borders.

In what can I trust?
Whether we’re speaking about tolerance or democracy, political debate, good neighbourly relations – or even the existence of Antarctica – trust is the foundation of our shared lives.
Who can we trust – which people, which institutions? In the age of AI, can I trust a film or an image?
Are scientists and journalists trustworthy? And what about the everyday trust we need – to speak with one another, to make agreements, to delegate power, or to believe strangers?
Trust is essential. It should not be given lightly, and it must not be broken – for without trust, there is no community, no society.
What does trust require? When is it lost – and how can we build and strengthen it? We invite you to explore these questions with us at the Dachstein Dialoge 2026.

Where
are you
going?

The Dachstein Dialoge shape the present by learning from the past and looking to the future. Through encounters, intellectual impulses, and cultural experiences, they transform painful historical memories into a shared, open coexistence, creating the foundation for lived tolerance and democracy. From the border mountain, the Dachstein becomes both a focal point and a symbol of connection.
